Belgrade Airport, a member of the VINCI Airports network, together with the national carrier Air Serbia, today marked the 10th anniversary of the launch of direct flights between Belgrade and New York. Scheduled nonstop services to the “Big Apple” were reinstated after a 24-year break, marking the beginning of a new chapter in the development of Belgrade Airport and a significant milestone in strengthening Serbia’s air connectivity.
Over the past decade of successful joint operations, more than 750,000 passengers have used the services of Belgrade Airport and Air Serbia, significantly contributing to the enhancement of tourism, business, and cultural ties between Serbia, the wider Balkan region, and the United States.
In cooperation with the national airline, Belgrade Airport has continued to expand its long-haul network to North America. In addition to New York, direct flights from Belgrade are now operated to Chicago, and more recently to Toronto. In this way, Belgrade Airport further consolidates its position as a leading aviation hub in this part of Europe.
As part of the global VINCI Airports network, Belgrade Airport continues to strengthen its destination network through ongoing infrastructure investments, as well as the expansion and modernization of its capacities.
Passengers can find all information on flight schedules, new destinations, airlines, and available services at Nikola Tesla Airport on the official website www.beg.aero as well as via the Belgrade Airport mobile application.
