BELGRADE AIRPORT SETS NEW RECORD

Over One Million Passengers in July
for the First Time Ever
- A total of 1,036,685 passengers used Nikola Tesla Airport in July
- A record 378 flights in a single day recorded on July 31
Belgrade Airport, part of the VINCI Airports network, served over one million passengers in a single month during July 2026. This achievement underscores the continuous growth and strengthening of Belgrade Airport's position as a key aviation hub in the region.
Specifically, a total of 1,036,685 passengers passed through Belgrade Airport in July, representing a 6.2 percent increase compared to the same month last year. Additionally, July 31 saw a record number of passengers in a single day, with 40,584 travelers served, while also marking the highest number of flights on a single day, totaling 378. Last year, the one-million-passenger mark in a single month was reached in August, further confirming the accelerated growth of traffic and the attractiveness of Nikola Tesla Airport. This success was primarily driven by national carrier Air Serbia, followed by Wizz Air and Air Montenegro, with contributions from other airlines as well.
Thanks to the continuous expansion of flight offerings in collaboration with airlines, Belgrade is connected to a record 118 destinations worldwide this summer season, including five intercontinental direct routes. This represents the richest seasonal choice of destinations ever available to passengers from Belgrade Airport.
Belgrade Airport, the operating company of Nikola Tesla Airport, will continue to enhance operational efficiency, expand its destination network, and enrich commercial offerings in cooperation with its partners. The goal is to improve the overall passenger experience within the terminal and further strengthen Belgrade Airport's position as a leading regional aviation hub in Southeast Europe.
