Belgrade Airport, part of the VINCI Airports network, achieved historic record results with 8.91 million passengers, which is 6,5% more than in 2024. A special highlight is August 2025, when Nikola Tesla Airport recorded more than 1,000,000 passengers in a single month for the first time in its history.

Also, during 2025 summer season Belgrade Airport connected Serbia with record of 116 international destinations in 40 countries, almost doubled in comparation with 61 routes in 2018. This includes direct intercontinental routes to the United States and China, as well as numerous European cities, further enhancing the offer and capacity for transfer traffic.

“The record number of passengers is in line with our goal of positioning Nikola Tesla Airport, operated by VINCI Airports, as the major air traffic hub in Southeast Europe. We will continue to invest in infrastructure and service quality to ensure passengers enjoy a modern and efficient travel experience. Also, we are grateful to both passengers and airlines on their trust as well to our employees on their dedication”, said Chivoine Rem, CEO of Belgrade Airport.

The growth trend in traffic volume is accompanied by improvements to the airport’s infrastructure. Currently, construction is underway to expand the terminal at Nikola Tesla Airport. This new phase of development, focused on the C side of the airport complex, includes adding three new gates, three passenger boarding bridges, and four completely new parking positions. The expanded terminal area, which will grow by 5,350 square meters, will be equipped with four new moving walkways, two on the departure level and two on the arrival level. Additionally, four rapid exit taxiways have been built in 2025 to enable more efficient runway exit. As part of long-term development plans, the airport will continue to enhance terminal capacity, commercial offerings, and passenger comfort, aiming to achieve even higher service standards and maintain its leading position in the region.

Concerning results of VINCI Airports network, in 2025, more than 334 million passengers traveled through the network, which is 5% more than in the same period last year. In just the fourth quarter of 2025, VINCI Airports handled 3,2% more passengers than in the same quarter of the previous year.
